How it all started...
“By aspiring for excellence, combining classical Islamic knowledge with the present and instilling a spiritual revitalisation we aim to prepare individuals who are well balanced, have a strong link with their Creator and have the tools to understand Islam as a living, viable, and relevant faith, and who represent that faith with dignity, wisdom, and honour”
Who We Are
European Institute of Islamic Sciences: Inspiring Individuals, Empowering communities
The European Institute of Islamic Sciences (EIIS) is a non-profit and non denominational organisation officially founded in 2015 with the aim to implement a Quran-centric curriculum and create Islamic educational provision. The institute is based in the North West of England to fulfil the educational needs of the local and greater wide Muslim community.
The institute is set on a large 1.5-acre campus with excellent learning facilities and access to many amenities in the local Oldham area. The campus provides a growing library, aesthetic prayer area and free recreation and sports facilities accessible to all students.
The EIIS is committed to Islamic Education to contribute to the development of leaders and scholars who have a firm foundation in the classical Islamic Sciences and a deeper critical understanding of Islam in the contemporary context. Such individuals would be equipped to address the current challenges pertinent to Muslims living in Europe, have the tools to understand Islam as a living, viable and relevant faith, and be ambassadors representing that faith with dignity, wisdom and honour.
The uniqueness of EIIS is derived from the student provision which further to relativizing the Classical Islamic Sciences, also instils in our students a spiritual revitalisation and prepares well balanced individuals who have a strong link with their creator. The EIIS staff and students pride itself on its sense of family and community, always focusing on what the EIIS can give back to the local and wider society.
The EIIS is committed to a Quran centric Islamic education which prepares holistic Muslim individuals with a firm foundation in the classical Islamic Sciences and a deeper critical understanding of Islam in the contemporary context. Such individuals would be equipped to address the current challenges pertinent to Muslims and our modern society
